Project Pathways Trainees Participate in Virtual Research Symposium

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Diversity Program Consortium (DPC) kicked off its Virtual Research Symposium on Monday. The DPC is a network of institutions, funded by the NIH, which aims to improve training and mentoring in order to enhance individuals' success in . This initiative aims to transform institutional culture and biomedical training and mentoring nationwide. As a recipient of the Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) Grant, 91勛圖厙s Project Pathways is one of the 10 sites that make up the DPC. Project Pathways, the 91勛圖厙 BUILD Program, has 11 trainees that are participating in the泭 Virtual Research Symposium.泭

The 11 trainees submitted pdf representations of the research they have been conducting alongside their faculty mentors. One Trainee, Edelmy Marin (19), will be one of 16 trainees across the BUILD Grant sites to present research orally through webinar.泭

Edelmy, a 91勛圖厙 BUILD Project Pathways Technician, has been working alongside Dr. Lamartine Meda researching High Voltage Manganese Oxyfluoride Electrode for Application in Lithium-ion Batteries.
