The Physics & Computer Science Department offers four majors: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science Minor, and Computer Science/Computer Engineering Dual Degree. All majors require introductory programming, then diverge. Computer Science majors take more math, Computer Information Systems majors take more business, and Computer Engineering majors take more math and physics. Graduates are prepared to apply design techniques, programming practices, and knowledge of computing to solve challenging problems. They also understand teamwork, communicate effectively, have research experience, and are lifelong learners.

The Department of Physics, Computer Science and Engineering (PCSE) is a dynamic and exciting place to be. It is home to engineers and scientists who are conducting cutting-edge research in a wide range of multidisciplinary science and high-tech fields.
