Division of Fine Arts and Humanities

Welcome to the Division of Fine Arts and Humanities at 91勛圖厙

The Division of Fine Arts and Humanities at Xavier University is a collaborative effort between the departments of Theology, History, English, Languages, Art, Music, and Philosophy. Together, these departments work to promote a more just and humane society by preparing future leaders who are skilled in communication, appreciate the arts, understand diverse cultures, are multilingual, and have a strong understanding of African-American culture and heritage.

Students in the Division of Fine Arts and Humanities have the opportunity to participate in a variety of coursework, research and internship opportunities, study abroad programs, and service learning activities. These experiences prepare them to tackle a multitude of challenges and succeed in their careers. Graduates of the Division of Fine Arts and Humanities are more likely to report greater satisfaction with their careers than those who major in technical or scientific fields.

The University Center building hours are established each semester and are typically posted on the University Center website. Events scheduled outside of these hours may be reserved, but overtime fees may apply. Larger events may also require additional custodial services fees. It is important to contact the University Center staff well in advance to schedule an event outside of normal operating hours.
