Diversity and Inclusion Goals

The PA Program’s goals for diversity and inclusion are the following:

  • Ensure an environment of inclusion where every PA student, faculty, and staff will be respected and treated fairly
  • Implement targeted efforts and messaging to attract and retain underrepresented PA students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide support and resources to develop mentorship to strengthen and support a diverse PA Program. 
  • Provide equal access to opportunities where every PA student, faculty, and staff have resources to improve their experience while in our educational environment.
  • Cultivate an environment that fosters a PA Program that celebrates differences and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion to strengthen our program and our profession.
  • Partner with our University and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to implement policies and strategies that promote diversity and inclusion. 
  • Engage in community outreach to meet the needs of our underserved communities.
  • Work with our institution to identify health disparities and implement strategies to eliminate those disparities in the communities that we serve.
  • Implement platforms to PA students, faculty, and staff to share diverse experiences through celebrations and other inclusive activities.
