Our post-graduate residency program is designed to develop clinical practice skills that can be applied to pharmacist-managed, interdisciplinary, or managed care team approaches to patient care. The program includes training in internal medicine, family practice, and medical subspecialties, including:
• Cardiology
• Endocrinology
• Anticoagulation
• Infectious disease
• Hematology/oncology
• HIV/AIDS
• Pediatrics.
In addition to clinical practice, opportunities are available for didactic and experiential teaching, precepting, and outcomes research with the Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities Research and Education (CMHHDRE). Upon completion of this program, the resident will be able to assume a clinical position in an ambulatory clinic, hospital setting or a faculty position in academia.
